Stage 25 sees the Beacon of Harmony travel to Poole for an exchange between The Tudor Roses and Wessex Harmony and then on to Bournemouth Music Festival to be passed on to Coast to Coast.
Here’s what Wessex Harmony had to say about their time with the Beacon:
On Tuesday, 14 June 2016 Wessex Harmony welcomed our friends, The Tudor Roses to Poole to hand over the LABBS Beacon of Harmony Scroll.
The Tudor Roses joined us on the risers for warm ups and a few Pole Cats, before we sang our competition songs which we were going to perform at the Bournemouth Music Competitions Festival on Saturday, June 18th 2016.
In the break we tucked into the delicious the 40 Years LABBS celebratory cake made by our very own wonderful cake master Tina.
We were also joined by the wonderful quartet Mind The Gap, who entertained us with their fabulous songs in preparation of the Bournemouth Music Competitions Festival.
Before the end of the evening we enjoyed a couple of songs by ‘The Tudor Roses’. Even thought not all of their members were present, they made a lovely sound which we all enjoyed.
Our thanks go to ‘The Tudor Roses’ to come all the way from Winchester to Poole and we are hoping for another get together in the future!
Then on Saturday, 18 June 2016 Wessex Harmony met with Coast to Coast to hand over the LABBS Beacon of Harmony Scroll. We met on the terrace of the Bournemouth Pavilion to sign the scroll and have some celebratory cake made against brilliantly by our very talented master baker Tina. Deborah Lamble joined us in her capacity as the Vice Chairman of LABBS when singing the LABBS 40th Anniversary Tag.
