Stage 14: Velvet Harmony

Stage 14 sees the Beacon of Harmony travel a short distance from Green Street Blues in Sevenoaks, Kent to Velvet Harmony in Bromley.

Here’s what Velvet Harmony had to say about their time with the Beacon:

Green Street Blues warmly welcomed the ladies from Velvet Harmony and together we celebrated the handover of the Beacon of Harmony Scroll.  We began the evening with a warm up, singing 2 rounds together, followed by each group entertaining the other with a couple of favourite songs and then we sang a finale of polecat songs together.   Both singing groups were delighted to introduce new members on this special occasion.

The Scroll was handed over in the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Sevenoaks, Andy Eyre, and his wife Amanda, regional reps Jacqui Edwards and Rita Wood and other guests. The evening continued with refreshments and an opportunity to make new friends and also for some to re-kindle a few long lost singing friendships. 

We ended the evening with a promise to sing together again soon!
